About Us The Lacombe Preservation Group is open to all interested residents of St. Tammany Parish. Our platform deals primarily with planning and development issues, but we'll be happy to help with other issues if we can. Residents can contact any of the Steering Team members, or attend one of the meetings, if they wish to bring up an issue regarding the area. Also, residents are encouraged to join the Steering Team and work to lead the LPG efforts if they are so inclined. The only limitation on the Steering Team is to keep the size between 5-10 active members. The LPG was founded in 2005, specifically to review a densely populated PUD destined for an "A" flood zone on Lake Rd. In 2006, the effects of Hurricane Katrina and the comprehensive rezoning of District 7, prompted the Steering Team to take the mission forward as an ongoing oversight committee for future development. |
